A few words covering the GK
koncert in Copenhagen, Denmark 23rd of April.
The last time GK visited Denmark was in 1992 in Tivoli, so it was about time for them to drop by :) The show took place in "Vega" in the center of the danish capital at 9:00. We had really been looking forward to this event, first of all because of The Kings themselves but also because I was hoping they would present some of their new songs during this tour... I was not disappointed!!! Actually I would say, that listning to the a few times would be a good thing to get the maximum out of this tour.. The phrase "Good evening Copenhangen... Are you ready for the gypsy-fiesta??" Struck Vega and 7-800 people at exactly 9:00. The line-up was: André-Patchai-Paul-Nicolas-Tonino-Diego-Canut. (Nicolas playing the guitar as well) The setlist as I remember it: - Instrumental (Same chords as Galaxia, just with a different theme) - Rythmic (shorter version, but Nicolas really gave it all!!) - Amigo - Llevame el compas - Sabroso (André-Nicolas-Tonino and Canut) - Montaña - Petite Noya - Djobi Djoba (Canut sung this one) - Como Ayer - Mi novia/Mi Mora?? -Sung by Patchai, is this song appearing on the US-version of Roots?? - Canto a Brazil - Tampa - Boogie - A tu Vera - Bamboleo Encore: Hermanos - sung by Patchai One hour and 20 minutes without stops and the guys seemed to enjoy the koncert. The sound was great and specially Tonino and André seemed happy with it too, doing more "fill-ins" that usual. Paul looked really young this evening. I dont know if it was because of a light coloring of the hair or the weightloss? But in good shape!! Greetings from Copenhagen.. Eric Heredia |
